How to incorporate food & wine festival into Epcot touring plan hitting Epcot attraction highlights?
We used the Food and Wine app to pick and map out which booths we wanted to visit. We then figured out which days we would tackle which food items…and then planned our rides kind of around that.
Since the booths don’t start opening until 11:00 am, you can get white a bit done, attraction wise, before you start hitting food booths.
Due to rain, we also had to make adjustments on the fly
Not sure how many Epcot days you have planned. We were there at Epcot 4 of our days total, but just parts is days each time.
Thank you very much! Is world showcase open at same time as rest of park, and it’s just that the food booths don’t start opening until 11am?
And thank you as well for the tip about the food and wine app!
World Showcase opens at 11. You can walk through the area, and you can ride Frozen and Ratatouille early. In Norway, Kringla Bakery is open for breakfast. Not sure much else is.
The bakery in France is also open for breakfast.
WS opens at 9. It’s been that way since reopening after covid. For instance, Reflections of China (the movie) starts showing at 9 am per Disney’s website. Meeting Snow White in Germany starts at 9:30 am.
Yes. It’s been that way since reopening after covid.
Hmm. When I checked, it said World Showcase opened at 11. Weird. But you’re right, more things are shown as being open at 9:00.
Yeah, it’s hard to change old habits. That 11:00 opening had been around for decades! (I think)
When I am making my Touring Plans, I put in each country for 10 - 20 minutes.
Then I look at the map and see what booths (not connected to an existing country) and enter the foods I want to eat in the notes of the country nearest.
So for example, we want the agua fresca which is at Earth Eats, nearest to the Land Pavilion. So in the notes for Living with the Land, I wrote: Earth Eats - Blood orange agua fresca.
For Germany the note says: Karamell Kuche - gingerbread cookie sandwich.
The Alps - Warm Raclette Swiss Cheese with potatoes and baguette. India (near China) - SK: Potato and Pea Samosa with coriander-lime cream. Germany - SC&B: apple streusel.
Born to Polka. 12:05, 1:05, 2:10, 3:40, 5, 6, and 7 p.m.
I am not dying to see Born to Polka but if we’re there near one of the times, we’ll stick around to check out a few minutes of it while eating the raclette cheese.
This is my strategy as well. It also doesn’t make you put in a time window like when you add a TS or QS. Downside, it may put you there before the 11am opening.
I think you also need to add country pavilions from the website. I don’t think they are listed when editing in the app
Thank you very much!
I didn’t realize this! I always use my laptop.
