Certain emojis seem to not work in different browsers:
Chrome (Windows 7):
IE 11 (Windows 7):
Safari (iPhone 5S, iOS 7):
I believe those are the emoji built into Apple devices hence why they don’t show in chrome but do in Safari. They aren’t the ones built into the forum software.
I was thinking that it might be something like that. Maybe we need a global announcement to let people know that they should not use them. Or, better still, an emoji button could be added to the toolbar in the post editor.
Well it’s sort of built in already when you type a : symbol, but that seems to be hit or miss on mobile devices.
