Does anyone have feedback on EEH for deluxe hotel guests at Hollywood Studios? Trying to decide whether to plan for it on our September trip. This will be our first trip where our boys are both old enough (12 & 15) to stay up later for it and thinking it might be fun to ride SDD and wander Galaxy’s Edge at night. How are ride wait times? Thanks!
I have no first-hand experience with EEH at HS, but this article had lots of helpful information:
Note that Rise of the Resistance is currently excluded from the lineup of available attractions, so you’ll have to catch that during regular park hours (which has been easier to do lately, even without an LLSP).
Here are some excerpts from the article:
If you have the chance to attend Extended Evening Hours at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, we highly recommend it. I was able to attend one of those evenings two years ago, and it was great. We’d expect the same to hold true for Extended Evening Hours at DHS in Fall 2025, even without Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.
Tentatively, our recommendation for ExEH at DHS is starting with Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance a few minutes before official park closing followed by Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. After that, head the other direction towards Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, followed by Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror, before doubling back and finishing in Toy Story Land with Slinky Dog Dash right at the very end of the night. That’ll likely be the best strategy and the one I’ll test if I end up doing ExEH at DHS.
Ultimately, we’re big fans of Extended Evening Hours at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and hope that it’s offered more from September to November and maybe even December 2025. Frankly, DHS is my second-favorite park for Extended Evening Hours after Magic Kingdom. It’s definitely better than Animal Kingdom, especially if it’s happening pre-sunset.
We were there in 2023 for EEH at HS. It was great! My kids were 8 and 6 at the time, but for better or worse, both like staying out late and sleeping in at WDW. We spent most of the time in TSL since that is their favorite park of the park. TSM was walk-on by about 20 minutes into EEH and A2S was walk-on as soon as EEH started so we rode both of those multiple times. SDD line was very long at first and only came down slowly. By around 10:00 pm, the SDD line was down to 30 minutes so we decided to ride SDD at that point. We walked on to MMRR right before EEH closing. We didn’t do the other rides during EEH, but as I recall SDD was the only ride with an extended wait. The others were all 15 mins or less with many walk-on. Rise was not open during EEH when we were there.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Thank you both for the feedback!
We were lucky that EEH was at DHS on our arrival day. This was a couple of years back, just before Christmas.
When we arrived, about an hour before park close, we went to Sunset Blvd to watch the projection show on ToT and had something to eat.
Around about the time the park closed, we did Star Tours, before heading to GE for the Millennium Falcon. It still had a slow queue, and Rise still showed quite a wait.
We then rode MMRR, Alien Saucers and went back for Rise - which by now was a fairly fast walk all the way through the queue. We immediately re-rode it, before heading back through GE, where we were offered a table at Ogas but declined as we had a reservation for another day. But we loved looking round GE after dark, popping into shops for atmosphere but not actually shopping.
We then went to Slinky before heading out of the park.
Definitely worth it! Although we had G+ for the Star Wars rides and MMRR for other days, it was great to get bonus rides. GE after dark is totally different to day time too.
