Kevin said it felt like I was “chasing a personal best” so I guess I pushed them too hard this evening LOL I think I have this in the right order. But if I don’t I’ll correct the narrative-
Arrived at MCO around 12:45 PM and took an Uber to the Swan Hotel. We’re able to check in immediately (2:30 ish) so we put our bags in the room and hopped a bus to Magic Kingdom.
We were so happy that we ran into a performance by the WDW Marching Band as we entered the Hub! (You’ll see that we love live music and “streetmosphere” if you watch all of these)
We had pre-booked 3 lighting lanes, and purchased Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. We went straight to Buzz Lightyear when we got to the park around 3:30. We ate some ice cream at Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies and headed for Monsters Inc Laugh Floor. We made it on the big screen! And Dani was interviewed during the “help me tell a joke” portion of the show. She was wearing her graduation ears and the “host” said, “let’s ask her - she looks really smart for some reason”. It was delightful.
I’d booked a LL for Under the Sea while we were eating our snacks since we’d already scanned into our first LL (Buzz). It looked pretty ominous as we headed in and by the time we got off the ride it was pouring cats and dogs. We found some cover and put on our ponchos. After a while we realized the rain wasn’t ending any time soon so we headed off for more adventures.
Since it was still raining pretty hard we walked right on to Mad Tea Party for a quick spin, then headed over to Tomorrowland and took a ride on the People Mover. We were still hungry so we stopped at Cosmic Rays for some real dinner. I think Sonny Eclipse’s set is funny, there is a lot of seating and the food is really good even if the menu is not inspired. Next we went to Mickeys Philharmagic, figuring it would be an ideal place to wait out the storm. Unfortunately, it wasn’t running. I have no idea why they closed an indoor show due to a storm, but there you have it. They said people were welcome to stay. Lots of people just sat on the floor, resting and playing on their phones. Not us! We headed out to our next scheduled LL, Pirates of the Caribbean.
After we scanned in I snagged a LL for Peter Pan later that evening, around 9 PM. After Pirates we used our LL for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. We doubled back to Mickeys Philharmagic because it was running again and enjoyed the show. While we were waiting for it to start I booked a LL for Its a Small World in half an hour.
The rain was pretty light by then. We walked over to Small World and got a boat within minutes. Then it was time for our Seven Dwarfs Individual LL. While we were in line I got a LL for Haunted Mansion at the end of the evening.
We watched the fireworks from the Tomorrowland Bridge. It’s a great place to see the actual fireworks, but our daughter was disappointed that she couldn’t see the Castle projections well. We made it on to Peter Pan after the fireworks then closed out the evening with Haunted Mansion. We were the last car loaded! In all we did 12 attractions, had a snack and a meal in about 6-1/2 hours. Maybe it was a personal best ![]()
I definitely felt buying LL was worth the money! Originally I just wanted to make sure we could get on a few rides since we were arriving so late in the day, but I scored some incredible rides while we were there. I think we got so many LL because people may have left the park early because of the rain.
