My family of 5 has DVC and we go to WDW annually with the kids since 2016. For 2025 we are thinking of Disneyland and Aulani. 5 nights at each.
We’d be traveling in August and looking at flights now. But I’m curious how touring plans can work for Disneyland (I assume it’s the same as WDW) and if the room view tool works for Aulani and for Grand Californian.
Touring plans does have a seperate app and subscription for Disneyland. Theu are currently working on updates for Universal and Disneyland because both are thenold model. That update should be done well ahead of your trip.
As you plan, I recommend asking questions in the DLR thread. Touring Disneyland has a different pacing and feel to it, you will be amazed at how many rides you can ride.
Touring plans doesn’t have a room finder for those two resorts. For GCV, the wing is so small, the main reqiest is for a theme park view. You can call DVC and ask them to put that request on your reservation.
For Aulani - I had to find maps that shiwed the different room categories, and then another site that had some room view photos. If you fins a room you want, they can put that request in through DVC as well. I got my exact room request at Aulani - I saw pictures of someone’s room on a trip report and got their room number (it was a standard view studio).
