Just curious about buying the lower tier AP’s as a DVC member. I have one for myself. Can I buy one for my adult daughter that lives at home? What about the daughter who doesn’t live at home? How closely do they check these things? Has anyone purchased for their adult age children?
I believe the rules are that you can buy them for your immediate household members - so yes, including your adult daughter living at home. We bought Julia hers when she was 19.
As for the one who doesn’t live at home, I don’t know how closely they check on that.
You can buy for up to 8 people who live with you. Adults will have to provide ID showing they live at the same address as the member.
Where and when do they show ID if you buy the AP online? I bought mine in person so this is new to me.
The AP needs to get activated at GS before entering the park for the first time. They check a drivers license at that time to verify address
Gotcha! So different than DL! And mine was purchased inside a park (HS) so I never had to do the activation part.
Are the Sorcerer’s passes like any other AP’s in that I could buy them today, but the year won’t start until the first time I use (activate) it? Unlike the AP renewal, where the year begins on the date of expiration of the original AP, regardless of when your next park visit is?
Correct - the year starts ticking upon first use.
They definitely check Drivers Licenses for same address.
My adult son that “lives” at home has the DVC AP.
