~ The time has come, to talk of other things- of shoes and ships and sealing wax, and cabbages and kings. And why the sea is boiling hot, and whether pigs have wings. Calloo, Callay, no work today, we’re the cabbages and kings.
After a whirlwind year filled with quite a few AP trips to The World, I’ve reached my final AP hoorah. And as it turns out, I won’t even be using my AP!
Long Story, Short- I’ve widdled down my Disney Birthday trip to a mere 24 hours of Halloween fun!
Long Story, Long-
Summary
DH has been having some medical issues making the parks a little less enjoyable for him. But he has been a trooper letting me drag him around The World doing all the things I’ve wanted to do.
I’ve never been to Food & Wine! There I said it. So I thought we would spend 2 or 3 days at Epcot, go to the Halloween party and enjoy a lot of downtime at the resort before I let my AP expire.
But DH really, REALLY wants to go to Isla Mujeres- an island off the coast of Cancun, MX. He’s had a rough year. We both have actually.
So I shortened our trip to 1 night for MNSSHP, canceled Food and Wine plans and booked a trip to Mexico for the following day. After all, Food & Wine will be there next year, and the year after.
We’ve never been to a seperate ticketed event at Disney and with an AP discount, ya gotta, right? So I bought tickets for Halloween night. Go big or go home.
The Disney part of the plan is to arrive at MCO around 10 am. Drop luggage at the Grand Floridian. Grab brunch at Whispering Canyon then beg for whatever room is ready so we can relax and get ready before MNSSHP. The theme is Alice and the Mad Hatter. Our costumes will be basic and homemade but they will do. Friday morning breakfast at Grand Flo Cafe and off to MCO for out 1pm flight to Mexico.
Now I need to get to bed! We need to leave at 5:30 am! Why Oh Why do I book these early morning flights! ![]()
