Does Rise of the Resistance have single rider in Disneyland?

I know that Walt Disney World does, but I haven’t tried it in Disneyland. Does anyone know if this is an option at Disneyland as well? Thank you!

I haven’t seen anything on a SR being added to DLR’s Rise yet and I checked the DL app just in case that has been changed since our last trip, and it does not show Single Rider for Rise.

The attractions I do see where Single Rider is offered for DLR are:

  • Millenium Falcon
  • Matterhorn
  • Space
  • Soarin’
  • Grizzly River Run
  • Goofy’s Sky School
  • Incredicoaster
  • Radiator Springs Racers
  • Webslingers

And then on Monsters Inc it’s not promoted anywhere, but they do sometimes offer a ‘Buddy Pass’ where you can go as a party of 2 (or 1) to fill a 3rd row on the car. It’s not always offered and if you’re interested you just need to see a cast member at the ride entrance to ask if they are doing it. If it is offered, they’ll give you a ticket for your group and you’ll enter through the exit and they’ll direct you to a small queue/waiting area near the loading platform until they need to fill a 3rd row in the car.

And sometimes but not at all very often, I’ve seen them offer a similar pass for Toy Story Midway Mania. They have less capacity/space to organize here so I don’t know that they do it very often, but it is a ride they are constantly asking for parties of 1/2 to fill rows and the times I’ve seen them do it, it’s been helpful to avoid that.

Thank you very much for this info!

There is also one at Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. I saw people lined up when I was there last weekend. Interestingly this is one attraction where they do NOT have it at WDW. I guess because the logs seat two per row?

I trust your first-hand knowledge, so I’d definitely consider that on the list of official single rider lines but the DL app does not seem to know it’s a Single Rider Offered (I filtered by Single Rider offered under interests to get the list I posted). But I did notice it wasn’t listed (we used SR a lot for Splash but haven’t been since it’s reopened as Tiana’s).

Yeah that’s weird that it’s not advertised.

Yea, definitely weird. I also miss Indy having a SR line. That is one I used before it went away and would use still if they had it. Guardians would also benefit from having one, but the logistics for how to send for the 2 different levels of loading might make it tricky. But surely not more tricky than Millenium Falcon and they manage that one just fine.

When was the last time you saw this? All references I’ve found online are from ~2018. I’d love to use this trick if it’s available!

In all the years we’ve done DLR I’ve only seen it on 2-3 trips so it is very, very rare. I believe the last time I saw it though was 2022. And it’s very much not promoted even if they are doing it, so the only way to really know is to ask.

Excellent news that you’ve seen it more recently! I’ll ask when I’m there next month. I’ve also read that Winnie the Pooh occasionally offers a similar option.

I’ve never seen it but that’s another ride that stands to benefit from having that option! Always, always, always they are asking for parties of 1 or 2!
