Does CBR have shower stalls?

My TA says there are shower stalls at CBR but I am not seeing them in any videos. I don’t want a tub with shower (the normal) unless it has grab bars. I don’t want a roll-in because I don’t need it and didn’t like the one I did end up with once. I feel safest stepping into a shower stall. I know they have them at Gran Destino and POFQ (I’ve stayed at both and loved having the shower stall).

The rooms I have had at CBR are tubs with showers.

If you book online and choose that you need an accessible room it will show you all the different kinds of accommodations and room types available. It should list what kind of bath they have as well.

Yes, I can find rooms with grab bars at the tub SOME of the time, but I really don’t want an accessible room. I just want a shower stall. I wish the Disney site and sites like TP would show if the bathrooms have tub/showers or shower stalls. I see in another thread that maybe looking at DVC is something I should do. I don’t understand DVC (I was told to look for a lockoff) but I’m wondering if the price for one of those would equal out to the price for two rooms in a moderate resort. I have a feeling someone read that last statement and laughed.

I think you’re likely to see the tubs or the roll in showers.

Too find out how likely a roll in shower was at a value resort I looked up (somewhere) how many accessible rooms the resort had.

Turns out - not very many. We wound up at a moderate - Riverside - with a roll in shower.

On another trip I happened to get a discounted AKL room for one night with this shower which is now the only item on my Christmas list.

As someone who definitely wants a tub I whole-heartedly agree with this statement. I’m not understanding how DVC would help though. I’ve been in a DVC 1 bedroom without a shower stall. It did have grab bars though in the tub/shower. It was an accessible room we didn’t request and as a taller than average family it was difficult for us.

The DVC situations are so different - I think depending on the age of the resort.

That is perfect! I’d want that in my house too.

CBR generally has showers with tubs
There are certainly some handicap accessible rooms with stalls.
There is not to my knowledge a bookable category that offers stalls.
Even handicap accessible is not a bookable category but an accommodation request.

GDT I think almost exclusively has shower stalls.

POFQ if you had a stall you got lucky; I believe most of those rooms are also shower/tub.

DVC (lockoff or otherwise) is also not going to guarantee you a stall. Many of the resorts have showers with tubs. There is a bookable category at Copper Creek that offers a shower stall without a tub.

You can always make a room request for a room with a shower stall; but it’s never a guarantee, just equest (unless it’s bookable or handicap need)

I decided against CBR. POFQ had a refurb in 2024 and now people have to request a tub to get one. Most of the second and third floor rooms are shower stalls now. I’m having my TA put in for POFQ (which wasn’t showing any availability until this afternoon, and website pictures still show the old rooms) and AKL (pictures show stalls) for the rest of the trip. I think the grandkids will love seeing the animals. I’m saving that for the end of our trip.

I don’t want to argue with you but I think you are mistaken about the bathroom config. now being all shower stalls.

I did find a recent video of a vlogger who showed a refurbed room that does have a shower stall but notes that some have that and some have the shower/tub, so you definitely need to make a request for the config you are after, whichever that may be. And you should be aware that a request is never a guarantee. Just wouldn’t want you to have chosen this resort for that specific reason and wind up frustrated

The website portorleans.org (I guess if that is not allowed, my link will disappear?) has drawings of all the accommodation buildings with all kinds of info coded on the diagrams. Second and third floors are showing shower stalls. POFQ is my favorite resort so I have closely followed the renovations.
