Do the resorts have sharps containers?

I haven’t been to Disney since starting on a GLP-1, and I’ll have to do an injection while I’m there in August (and also the last day of my cruise, but I know the ships have them). Do they have sharps containers either in the room automatically or available by request?

I am only asking because the hotel I stayed at in Wisconsin last week did not have them either in the room or available to be put in the room so I had to recap my syringe and take it to the public bathroom (because I wasn’t doing my injection in the public bathroom) - and I want to be prepared for how I’ll work it at Disney.

Thanks!

They don’t have them in the rooms, that I recall, but you can go to the Front desk and request one.

Thanks!

I believe you can also get one from your local pharmacy and bring it with you, sealing it when you are done with it. DH was on an injectable medication briefly a few years back and we got one from the pharmacy for our home.

When our cat needed daily insulin we used a needle clipper container to dispose of the needle part then could throw the rest of the syringe in the normal trash. I don’t know enough about disposing of needles that have been used for people/public disposal, but if that could work they are very cheap and super small for travel purposes.

And they definitely have them in the hotel public restrooms, so at worse you can swing by and toss it there.

Kids at school use these too. And they can then be emptied into a Sharps box later, along with the rest of the needle.

They have them in all the public restrooms (resorts and parks) That’s only something you spot when you use it! I’ve also found them in airport restrooms.

It would be nice if they have them available for the room. It is not safe to cart a used one around to a public restroom or use it in a public restroom if you have a choice.
