DLR Premier pass window confusion

So yesterday, we got this TA email:
Beginning tomorrow, Tuesday, February 25, the purchase window for Lightning Lane Premier Pass at Disneyland Resort will be extended to up to 7 days in advance of a park visit. Guests visiting with a Walt Disney Travel Company package are welcome to purchase Lightning Lane Premier Pass when they receive their park tickets 3 days in advance of their arrival, subject to availability.

Huh??? I am confused. Is Disney penalizing package guests?? It sure appears that way, but no way can that be true.

But then…… * Guests visiting with a Walt Disney Travel Company package are welcome to purchase Lightning Lane Premier Pass when they receive their park tickets 3 days in advance of their arrival, subject to availability. For questions, Guests can contact 714-520-5050.

I have a client with a package over spring break, so does this mean when they go to purchase LLPP it may be sold out to non package guests?

So far, the answer is yes.

No answer but following because I read it the same way!

I saw this mentioned somewhere (Disney Dish maybe?) and that was their interpretation as well. It makes sense though that you can’t get LLPP without your tickets. :man_shrugging:

FWIW I don’t think it will sell out most days. At WdW it has only sold out at MK during Christmas week. (I think - don’t quote me on that.)

Yesterday I saw an article (BlogMickey?) about DLR changing the leadtime for hotel guests to 7 days, while offsite is 3. But now I can’t find that, maybe it was removed. I wonder if it was an oopsie.

ETA: It was a TP blog, still there.

Per the Disneyland site, it says up to 7 days. Nothing about on-site vs off-site.

Sorry, but it sold out a lot earlier this month. There was even a day when LLPP sold out at all four parks.

see the part i quoted though. you don’t actually get your tickets with a package til 3 days ahead of time, so you CAN’T purchase until then, regardless of when you’re technically allowed to

Oh, that IS confusing. I bet someone didn’t check that the wording matched correctly. Ouch!

i’m actually betting they rolled this out then realized… oh, people onsite can’t even book it because they don’t have tickets… well, we’ll just throw some language in there and hope people don’t notice? lol

I expect to see a follow up from Disney on this :person_facepalming:

The only way they can remedy this is to deliver tickets earlier, right?

@mkmuzzy since I obviously have not been following this news closely enough , in instances where PP has sold out, did it sell out in advance or at some point day of?

In advance. The article about all four parks selling out was posted 8:00 a.m. 2/14, talking about 2/15 selling out. There’s an article about the first time EP’s PP sold out, posted 10:04 a.m. 2/13, talking about 2/15. So not the day of. :fearful:

I’m not up to date on the new LL but when can you purchase the standard LL where you book three ahead of time. I’m asking because I am considering renting points and getting tickets separately for Dec right before Christmas so high risk this sells out and I do want it. If I can buy the standard LLMP do I need to in case I cannot get this cuz it sells out or if i buy it right at the 3 day time period I’ll be okay?
