We are looking at doing DLR and CA in one day (with a park hopper). What park would folks recommend starting in? We have been to the parks before so have a good idea of what we want to see, just not sure where to start the day. Thanks

If you are eligible for early entry, you may want to go to the park that has it so you can take advantage of the extra time.
If you aren’t, there are pros and cons to both. Mostly depends on which rides are your highest priority that you would be disappointed if you missed, and prioritize those.
All things being equal, I find it easier to speed through DCA in the morning and then you can be completely done and spend the rest of the day at DL.
But it can also be fun to start at DL, hop to DCA for the afternoon / evening, then hop back to DL for late night.
P.S. Regarding abbreviations, on the forum we use DLR = Disneyland Resort, which encompasses both DL (Disneyland park) and DCA (Disney California Adventure).

Thanks for the info. It looks like DCA closes at 6PM on the day we will be there. I’ll plan for DCA first and see how it goes.
