I see that the custom touringplans just got updated with a toggle to " Use Lightning Lane Premier Pass". That’s great and I no longer have to manually set preferred return times. However, when I toggle this on the wait times are the same as without it.
Disneyland plan with "Use Lightning Lane Premier Pass" enabled does not actually use LL return times
Welcome!
Please ask anything and as often as needed
I am a long time Touring Plans user who goes to Orlando frequently. I just got back from my first time at Disneyland.
Sadly, I found the Disneyland Lines app to be ineffective. The LLMP availability was NEVER correct.
I suggest making a custom plan with the minimize walking and waiting options selected.
Optimize that plan and see if that fits your schedule before adding LLMP manually.
You’ll need to consider this plan to be more of a “checklist” to follow that day.
I was always able to do everything I planned and a couple times a little more. However, I had to be flexible and adjust to what LLMP were actually available that day.
I crisscrossed the parks a lot!
I’m struggling with this too. My workaround is to enter times and click the force to use them button. @len May we get this bug fixed on the to do list for Disneyland and LLPP? Thanks!
Another ask is Oogie Boogie dates are out but the TP’s aren’t letting you state you are attending or showing the events from that party available on those dates. May we get that added too? Thnx!
I agree wrt to LLMP and Disneyland not working but the bug here is that for WDW LLPP works. I tried the new feature for my upcoming Dec trip where I plan to purchase it for Epcot. But for Disneyland it’ll say you’re gonna wait 60 min for Indy or RotR with LL which is the same time it’ll give you if you don’t have this option selected. With LLPP, you can ride whenever you want so you should just get the LL line length at any time of day and that should never be an hour.
Hi folks!
@bromoser Thanks for starting this post!
@darkmite2 I obviously want to get this fixed. Let me make sure I understand the issue: When you’re customizing a plan, the LL times we’re suggesting do not match what’s actually available.
Is that right?
If so, does the problem first happen when optimizing before the day you’re at the park? That is, does it first happen “today” for your plan to be in the park “tomorrow”? Or is it inaccurate on the dat of your visit?
Our summer intern is Kinsey, an Industrial Engineer. Last week I asked her to create a daily report that compares our LL predictions with reality. Improving our LL predictions is my summer project.
Thanks for your help with this!
Len
I made plans for each day if my trip. On the day I was in the parks the LLMP availability and wait times were completely inaccurate.
Multiple “Liners” commented they have the same experience using DLR Lines app.
I am a long time user and fan of TP. I got my subscription value from these forums. The people here are wonderful and were indispensable in making sure my trip went well. Thanks!
I concur that the DLR wait time and LLMP return times are inaccurate in the app. For example, PPF might say 40 min when it’s actually 75 min (this happened once and even here Disney was reporting 60 min so both TP and Disney posted waits were wrong). The app might say get a LLMP at 11am for 7pm Indy and there won’t be any left or if there are they’ll be for a much later time. This seems like a problem that requires more data and my guess has always been not enough users in Disneyland reporting wait times, etc.
The other bug seems a simple fix wrt to LLPP as it works for WDW parks, so whatever coding is there is missing from the Disneyland parks.
