Disneyland Paris "Ultimate Premier Access"

This is a question about Disneyland Paris, but as I typically go to Disney World as most of you do I think you guys can help me with this question…
I’m planning a trip to Paris this summer with my family (4 people). We’re not rich. But have saved up enough to make this trip work. As a huge Disney/Disney World fan I figure I should go to Disneyland Paris while I’m there - who knows if I’ll ever be there again, right!? But, that’s not the question, the scenario leading up to my question is… We’ll only have time to go to both Disneyland Paris and Walt Disney Studios one day. We, of course, would love to hit as many rides as possible in both parks in that one day. 4 Park entry tickets will cost about $550. They have an “Ultimate Premier Access” pass that is like Disney World’s “Lightning Lane” but it allows you to skip the line one time on each of 14 very popular rides at any time we want. The cost would be an additional $762 (on top of the $550 for park tickets)!! Meaning the UPA passes cost more than the park tickets!
But, it would likely guarantee we hit at least all the stuff on our must-do list in the short amount of time we’ll have there.
So, the question is… Do you think it is worth that insane cost!? (Would you do it?)

I’m the wrong person to ask because I always do it. Lol

Personally, I consider it part of the cost and if I can’t afford it I don’t go usually. But I have a very strong aversion to standing in lines and crowds cause anxiety for me so I always pay to avoid those things for my sanity.

To balance my opinion you’re gonna need @ryan1 to respond!

I will say also though that some of the things that Paris is supposed to do better are the walk thrus which aren’t gonna have premier access and won’t need it I’m sure.

Also thrilldata had wait times for Tokyo Disney (I’m using it to help me strategize for my July/Aug trip) so maybe they have it for Paris too and that’ll give you an idea of wait times

Yup they do: Wait Times at Disneyland Paris - Thrill Data (thrill-data.com)

Also, this really doesn’t look that bad unless you want to meet a Princess or Mickey!

My only experience with DLP is having just watched a few Disney In Detail vlogs where they went to DLP…and they went during a relatively slow period in January.

This would be my suggestion…is to see if you can find data showing what crowds are like during the time you are going to see if it is worth it. Or…perhaps find vloggers who have been around the same time you are going so that you can see it for yourself.

My family of 4 went to DLP in July 2022, and I had the exact same concerns, it was hard to justify the extra cost. We ended up skipping the Ultimate Premiere Access and used the ‘Premier Access One’ to avoid the line for Crush’s Coaster only. None of the other rides in either park had lines that were that long, I don’t think we waited in any line for any attraction more than 25 minutes. Note that our trip was just before Avengers Campus opened, so we didn’t spend a whole lot of time in Walt Disney Studios Park. I think you would be paying for the peace of mind (which is extremely valuable!) more than the actual time savings.

We are going in June and doing it two days. :flushed:. I assumed my husband would balk at the cost of that, but he pointed out that we may never go back to DLP or at least not as often as we do WDW and we should make the most of our time.

We are planning too. Mid July. If you go before then, please post your experience. Did you decide to stay at a Disney resort or offsite?

Oh wow, I had no idea!

For all of you going to DLP, I’m seriously planning to go in 2024 and I would love to follow your trip reports, if you decide to write one.

I will be there July 6. Just one day. Both parks.
We are not going to buy the Ultimate Premier Access. I can’t justify the cost.
We are going to prioritize the attractions that can not be found at WDW. We hope to hit all of those things. Anything after that is icing on the cake. We will consider buying Premier access for rides we absolutely must do.
I can certainly report how everything went once I’m home.

We are staying at the Marvel resort. My TA recommended the Disneyland resort, but it’s not open while we are there.

I will definitely write a trip report, though most likely when I return as I’m terrible at them.

May I ask who is your TA for DLP?
