Disney world employees - Child Porn distributors

Did y’ll see this? Gives me the creeps.

Haven’t see, haven’t even read.

But there are evil people everywhere. Not downplaying the seriousness, but one should never consider anyplace entirely immune from such things.

Exactly. This isn’t the first time a CM had been caught, won’t be the last.

Too true. There’s that whole, “For all have sinned…” thing going. After all, you’ll find perversion in even places you should NEVER expect to find it, like church leaderships, etc. That doesn’t make Church bad, nor does it make Disney bad. But it does mean that, as a parent, you should ALWAYS be careful, no matter how trustworthy you think someone should be.

Human beings are human beings, and the world is sinful. Unfortunately, Disney CM’s, despite the clean image and part of the Disney story on property, are just people too at the end of the day and just as capable of making horrid disgusting decisions as the general population.

And people with child fetishes LOOK for jobs that will put them near children. Youth sports coaches, youth ministry leaders, you have to be careful. We do background checks on everyone who works in our parks department (and I would hope and expect Disney does the same) however you can’t find something on someone who has not been caught yet.

The Walt Disney Company has 223,000 employees. Based on U.S. crime rates, statistically there are 60 rapes, 10 murders, 260 robberies, and 500 assaults committed by Disney employees every year.

Of course, I’d expect due to background checks, reputation, and other demographic factors, Disney probably has below average crime rates among its employees. But we shouldn’t expect everyone in a given population to meet the standards expected of decent human beings, to say nothing of what their employer requires.

I still find it disturbing, I don’t know why. The age of many of the victims were expressed in MONTHS. Some people are an argument FOR cruel and unusual punishment.

I don’t blame Disney. To catch these people they’d have had to hire someone to hack into every employee’s computer. And, it wasn’t like I was planning on having a Disney employee babysit my child. But, being in the same vicinity as someone that molested a one-year-old? Just the thought makes my skin crawl.

Your attitude is a healthy one. Unfortunately, anywhere we go we could be surrounded by people who are capable of committing heinous acts.
