We are bringing our 8 year old niece, as well as friend’s and their kids (ages 7 & 9) to WDW in June. It will be everyone’s first trip except for my husband and me. I’ve done Disney Theme Nights to help get them ready for the vacation. So far we’ve done Toy Story, Star Wars, Ratatouille, and Peter Pan. I thought about doing Pirates of the Caribbean but think movie is too much for them. What theme nights should I do that will enhance their first time trip?
Thanks!!

Fun idea!
I think you’ve hit the biggest ones for kids in that age group. The others I can think of (Avatar, Guardians of the Galaxy, Tron) might be similarly mature as Pirates. You could always do something besides watching the movie. Like a game or YouTube video.

Frozen, Monsters, Inc (possibly).

I think there is a lot of emphasis on Beauty and the Beast in the parks?

There’s a Muppets Haunted Mansion special on Disney+ that’s very cute and ought to be a nice introduction to the ride. Plus, it’s easy to do a spooky theme, even in May!
Findimg Nemo might also be a good one, since there’s a show at Animal Kingdom, and a dark ride plus an interactive show in the Sea Pavillion at Epcot. And doing an undersea theme for an evening seems very doable as well! You could even extend it with some Little Mermaid as well.

Great idea! That would be a fun theme to do. I forget that many young kids haven’t seen the classics. The kids I’m bringing had never seen Peter Pan.
