My DD teaches dances and this year the theme for recital is going to be all about Disney. So, I’m trying help her find songs from Disney movies and I need some ideas. She teaches jazz and tap to 4th-8th grade girls. Can liners give us some suggestions?
Any number of songs from princess and the frog. It’s all new Orleans jazz.
And welcome to the forums!
My girls are both dancers (a tween and a teen). I will ask them for their suggestions when they get home tonight and report back to you.
Cruella DeVille, Monsters Inc Theme song, I wanna be like you, everybody wants to be a cat, he’s a tramp
My DD reminded how great it was when she did Trashin’ the Camp for tap. They are still thinking about others. I will update as they do. They say they only want to tell you the really good ones
Ok, here are some more suggestions:
- Cruisin’ For a Bruisin’ (Teen Beach Movie)
- Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride (Lilo & Stitch)
- The Tiki, Tiki, Tiki, Tiki Room
- Getcha Head in the Game - High School Musical
- Everything is not what it seems (Wizards of Waverly Place)
- Shake it up theme song
- What’s This (Nightmare Before Christmas)
- Surf Crazy (Teen Beach Movie)
- Too Much (Zapped)
Must be getting old; Tiki Room is the only one I would recognize if I heard it …
My daughter was just in a dance recital and the entire show was disney themed. When she gets home I will see if she still has her program. They did songs from…
Snow White
Pirates of the Caribbean
A twilight zone one
Haunted mansion
Electric parade
Zippidy dooda
Cinderella
Etc
There were a ton of dances and it was super cute.
Thanks for all the great suggestions! Keep them coming!
