This is a real bummer to me. I tried the Duck Tales game for the first time this year, and it was so much fun, and added such excitement and interactivity to the World Showcase. Likewise, the Galaxy’s Edge game made that area feel much more alive. I can see nixing the random in-app minigames that you may as well play at home, but I really hope Disney ports over the functionality for the World Showcase/Galaxy’s Edge somewhere else.

I’m sad about this, even though we didn’t use it much. I’ll lose my collection of 50th anniversary statues. And all the achievements and medals we got on the Galactic Starcruiser.

Which I think is exactly why it’s going away. I would be the usage rate is extremely low. It makes sense to cut it when you think about that

In my defense, it was also the first time I’d been to Epcot since 1996.

Yeah, we haven’t been using it much because the kids all grew up. LOL We pretty much just used it for Batuu Bounty Hunting last trip. I think that was the only time we opened it. With a group of now all adults, our trips are quite a bit different than they were in the past.
