I was reading this today and thought I would post it here. Looks like we have a new update coming to the animatronics on Frozen Ever After. After riding the new version at Disney Sea, I am very excited they are bringing the technology here! Also, super excited for the Muppets coaster. Fingers crossed it’s an early summer opening as RNRC was a family favorite.

I am excited too! Although with an April trip coming up, selfishly I want to know if they’ll reopen by the time I’m there. :sweat_smile:

FEA shouldn’t need to be a long outage hopefully, if they’re just swapping out animatronics (or…heads?).

I was thinking the same about Frozen. I am a bit stressed with so many upcoming or current closures of family favorites though!

Yes! We are at:

BTMRR - construction permit through end of April, so dare I hope?

Buzz down until TBD 2026

(I don’t really care about Animation Courtyard, but I guess it counts)

Carousel of Progress - going down sometime for Walt animatronic

RnRC - going down sometime

Now FEA - going down sometime

Well those plus both Dinoland rides and Tom Sawyer Island/Liberty Square Riverboat gone with no replacements yet. My Dino loving boy will especially miss Dinosaur and the Boneyard. It would be a softer let down if there was something new as a trade off. Don’t get me wrong, I am super excited about most, if not all, the changes but it’s hard to plan with so much up in the air.

Very true! I guess I knew those wouldn’t be back in time (ie years), so my brain glossed over them.

I’m glad the train will be running back and forth instead of shut down completely, at least.

Zootopia show?? Mine are very excited about this. But they will be sad about the Boneyard.

New update - Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster to reopen Summer 2026 (sometime between Memorial Day and Labor Day, in Disney speak? :thinking:)!

True - I thought this might be a normal maintenance? December is much more specific than “summer” or “2026” - good job, AK execs? :rofl:

I think they are doing the maintenance early so that it isn’t closed when Dinosaur closes.
