Disney Gift Card Promotions

Need some direction since I’ve never done this before! I bought the 4 gift cards from Sam’s for an upcoming Disney resort booking. Do I need to combine all the cards together to be able to use them to pay the room?

I don’t think you need to, but it’s something you can do in advance, very easily and quickly, and it will save time when you’re paying the hotel bill.

I should amend this to say: It might depend on how you’re paying. If you’re prepaying online (I think you can only do this with a room-and-tickets package) you might have to combine the cards—I’m not sure if the online payment system allows for multiple gift card entries. In person (or prepaying on the phone), I’m pretty sure you can pay with any number of gift cards, but that’s where having your total gift card amount on one card pays off in a less cumbersome transaction.

Okay. I was thinking about the wrong thing. I couldn’t buy my AP using more than one card. If you have a package, you can pay online, so I think you can pay with several. If you are paying for a room only, you need to call.

I used my 4 cards to pay on my package online. I did not combine them. I just typed the acct number and EAN. It did take 4 separate payments and I waited a few minutes between just to be safe. It was easy.

I bought 4 cards this week and it will not allow me to order any more $200 cards, even at $190. Not sure about the other values.

That has happened to me before too. I don’t know the "cooling off period but it takes awhile to reset.

Ended up using 1 card for the deposit (+ my credit card)… and then will use the remaining 3 cards at check-in + the rest on my card. Overall, it’ll be a cheap hotel if I look only at my credit transactions :winking_face_with_tongue:

I’m not sure how long you waited, but I would try again. I went back in on Saturday (the day after my first purchase) just to see if it would allow me more cards at $180. It wouldn’t even allow me to put cards in my cart. Yesterday, it allowed me to put the cards in my cart, but the price was $190, even though the $180 doorbuster was still the advertised price. The system obviously knew that I had already reached my limit on the doorbuster.

I could put them in my cart at $190 after the first 4, but not check out. It said there was an error. I bought the first one early on the 7th and I kept taking things in and out of the cart, asking my DH to try on his account. Same thing. I’m hoping they do another promotion before our trip. It sounds like they did another one in the spring this year. If not we’ll do the 5%off from Target.

Giftcards.com is doing 10% off Disney gift cards with code EARLYBIRD. Can also click through Rakuten for 2%
And something about AA and/or Chase credit card offers/points. Idk. Saw it on homeschoolingonpoints Instagram

Good find on giftcards.com. FYI, any increment of $15 - $500. But looks like physical card only so at least $2 shipping. Limit $3k.

Too bad I just bought $1000 worth of gift cards from BJs!

And…something I’m becoming increasingly annoyed at is how Disney will sell gift cards, but it is like they want to make it as hard as possible to actually use them.

I had to buy 4 2-day tickets for our February trip. This was on the order of $350 each. If you added all 4 to the card, and tried to check out, they will only allow you to apply a SINGLE gift card for the order. So, I had to back out and buy each ticket individually, using each $500 gift card for each purchase, and then combine the remaining balances of each onto a single gift card.

Or, you could have called… (I know, who wants to call?)

Or done 2 orders of 2. You can put up to $1000 on each gift card.

True. Although I was doing this after hours due to my availability.

I realized that after I did the third one! :joy:

True. I almost typed that as well, but obviously didn’t.

I had to do this too. All of our tickers were just over $500 each, so no way to even do two on an order.

Did you have any luck with this deal? I just checked and it doesn’t look like Disney cards are included anymore
