I made a new reservation for January 2027 today. When I went to do my room request I received a message starting 4/19/26 Disney is no longer accepting these requests. I thought maybe I didn’t read the message correctly so I googled. There’s an article on the Touring Plans blog explaining this. It’s really a shame. There is hope Disney will allow these types of requests through the MDE app. Today the only option I had was crib or adjoining room. I want to be able to put the details Touring Plan allowed me. I hope Disney fixes this.

This is good to know. I guess this means I’ll need to make a request directly with Disney instead going forward. Annoying, but not unreasonable. I’ve made room requests by phone before, and could possibly do it via chat. (Still, not sure why Disney would want MORE people calling them, not fewer.)
