Way back when, I used to do this to save on our APs - I’d buy discount tickets and apply them to the cost of our AP renewal, and Disney would give full gate price credit for the tickets to the cost of the AP.
Is this still a thing? Has anyone done this lately?
APs are not on sale at this time (or for some time at all), and no date on the horizon for their return.
We’d be renewing our existing passes. At least for the moment, we can still do that.

I’ve read posts from people who have applied the cost of tickets bought from Disney towards a renewal.
But I don’t recall reading any that said they used discounted tickets. Hopefully someone can confirm they have done it. And if I see anything I’ll let you know.
