We have just passed the “2 days out” mark from TP sending our room requests to our WDW Resorts. If we now click the Online Checkin on the app under Direct-to-Room, are our room location requests second in priority to early checkin? We indicated on the app that we’re arriving after 1030PM but wasn’t sure if it was a disadvantage or advantage to do the online checkin this early (30 days out). Not looking for early checkin just want to be in queue for our room. Thanks!
I always do both direct to room and TP room requests. Honestly, I just set my arrival time and make sure everything is set for direct to room. I might check “higher floor” if that is an option (always aligns with my TP request) but I generally don’t make a room request through the check in process. It is too limited.

Sorry, I don’t think I wrote that clearly.
Playing with the app, I didn’t realize there was an option with the DTR checkin to select (or not select) checking into a room early being priority over other requests. We’d rather wait for the room. Thanks
Yes, but you can still do the online check in and direct to room so that you are notified when your room is ready, the room number appears in MDE, and you can go straight to your room.
If I really want my TP request, I never check the option for first available room.
