We have a family trip booked with the dining plan. One person is no longer able to go on the trip, but as you know, the DDP can not be canceled. Are the dining points put into one “bucket” and can be used by anyone in the group, or are they tracked strictly by individual use? Can we still use her DDP points even though she won’t be with us?
When we last used the DDP in the 2010s, the points were grouped together for the whole family and were not tracked by person. Is it still like that?
Is it the table service plus quick service version? With quick service it should be easy with mobile orders. I also think snacks are easy, especially if you used them at festival booths. There have been mixed reports on table service, but those reports have focused on having extra people. Since you will have the same amount (actually less) dining that you have listed on your reservation, you should be able to use the extra.
It used to be by the numbers and no one person assigned. Since you know the refund policy did you ask about allowing extra orders for TS? The QS & snacks will be easy to manage but maybe you can do a Takeaway order one night from a TS location?
When we used the DDP a few weeks ago, I never saw any indication from servers or on receipts that show remaining credits that the entitlements were broken down by guest. I would expect that you could use the extra entitlements for the rest of your group.
