Newbie here! We arrive to our resort on a Tuesday, but our MK ticket isn’t until Wednesday. We’ll be doing the waterpark on Tuesday. Where should we eat dinner at Tuesday night? Stay on property or go off-site? Any recommendations?
Where are you staying?
Who makes up your party?
Do you have any favorite cuisines?
Any that you would want to avoid at all costs?
Casual (post waterpark) or willing to “dress” for dinner?
Do you have a vehicle?
Another good question
Great questions! Staying at Pop Century. 2 adults and 1 child (7 yo). Any type of cuisine. Willing to dress for a casual dinner. Yes, we have a vehicle.
Does PC have restuarants we can eat at? Do they require a reservation? Or, is it better to go offsite somewhere (perhaps Disney Springs)?
Thank you!
Pop only has quick service food court - which is actually pretty dang good, if you just want to “stay in” for the night. Quick service locations do not require reservation.
But you’re lucky to be on the Skyliner which puts a lot of great Table Service within your reach! Table service locations do require reservations so you’ll want to think about what you prefer and make one before you arrive. Dining reservation windows open 60 days before your check-in date at 6am eastern
As for what I recommend that’s convenient to you at Pop:
- Sebastians is at Caribbean Beach - just one Skyliner stop away - and gets great reviews!
- Topolino’s is at Riviera Resort (2 stops away) and is an upscale, Signature restaurant that’s really good (but a little fancy)
- Flying Fish is at the Boardwalk (3 stops away and a little walk or ferry ride) - also Signature but maybe a little less fancy
- Trattoria al Forno is decent italian, also at the Boardwalk
- Ale & Compass is wonderful - located at Yacht Club (3 stops away and a little walk or ferry ride)
But my personal recommendation for this group, after a day at the water park, would beBeaches & Cream!! This location could be SUPER fun with a 7yo! It’s an ice cream parlor and they serve burgers and sandwiches too. Consider The Kitchen Sink which comes with a whole lot of ice cream and a bit of extra attention It can be a tough reservation to get, though, so do not delay!
Thank you!!
If you are heading to water park shortly after your arrival, I think I’d just eat at Pop Century that evening or one of the QS along the skyliner. You’ll need time to unpack and get your room settled for the week (or however long you are staying). Or at least I would.
Oh perfect! Not that you don’t have great suggestions, but you can also consider Primo Piazza at Rivera via Skyliner. Its semi counter service (think Panera) and Riviera is a pretty hotel to visit.
(I may have spelled that wrong.)
ETCorrect Primo Piatto. Thank you @OBNurseNH
OMG yes this! Or Bar Riva!
Piatto, but the gist was there
It did NOT look right.
I’m a terrible at restaurant names on the whole. I called Akershus Akerhaus for a decade or more.
TBF they are not english words in either case
Yeah. THAT’S why!
At least I know ‘Ohana is not O’Hana.
I’ll take “Things That Are Like Nails On a Chalkboard To Me, for $1000 Ken!”
A whole can!
I second and third this!
Our favorite quick service. Very delicious!
Thank you, everyone! I really appreciate all your great ideas!!!
I always quip that “it’s not an Irish pub!”
Or O’Hana’s. I’ve seen that one a number of times.
With a 7yo consider T Rex at Disney Springs. Also Whispering Canyon Cafe at Wilderness Lodge.
