We will be at WDW over Christmas staying in a DVC room at the Poly. I would love to decorate the room for Xmas. Any ideas?
They don’t want you to stick things into or onto the walls.
Even though we fly transatlantic, we bring a 2ft Christmas tree (and dump it afterwards)
Strings of fairy lights to drape around.
Lightweight wooden and felt decorations
Window clings
We have brought light strings to drape around the mirror in the bathroom and around the window/slider. Bring extension cords and ornament hangers to help with string draping.
We’ve made the paper chains - mostly for draping over headboards. Metallic wrapping paper makes lovely chains. We obsess over color coordinating decor.
Plastic bag strips tied on to circle shaped clothes hangers and spray painted. Use clear or white bags and spray the green lightly on strip ends. Door hanger for wreath.
One family member makes snow families from white panty-hose type knee highs. We’ve used these on the tv area.
Small - maybe 2 foot tree - with short light string, small bows for branch ends and draped with small bead garland.
I can’t even recall all the decorations the year we were at a Wilderness Cabin. That was fun. Decorated the deck and the golf cart.
Generally we drive. Usually take down all the decorations and put them in a cardboard box with note to Mousekeeping to keep or donate as they wish.
Have fun!
They also have pop-up/foldable Christmas trees available on Amazon. They are perfect for travel. I hope you have a wonderful trip!
Thank you all for the ideas!
Some of the newer window clings also will cling to, dressers, doors and headboards. Nothing sticky.
In the Poly there is some nice space for a pip up tree.
