I am considering visiting WDW between Dec 14th and 20th in 2024. I know the Christmas decor will be up. Are those the dates that Epcot has the tasty food and Xmas decor also? Any thoughts of visiting during that time? Also since there are no reservations required have the parks been extra busy?

Yes, the Festival of the Holidays will definitely be going on with all the food booths, etc. it’s a wonderful thing to visit and I highly recommend it.
I’ve only ever been during the week of Christmas, so I can’t say much of anything about crowds since APRs ended for date-based tickets. I do know that Christmas week is one of the busiest times of year. The week you’re planning may not be quite as busy.

I think it is a great time to visit as everywhere is all decked out for the holidays, the weather is generally pleasant and the dates you mentioned have relatively lower crowds compared to the next week since most schools have not started their winter breaks yet.
Good luck!

If you’re able to come in the week before that, I think you’ll find that the crowds will be more manageable.
Early December is my favorite time to visit, I’ve found that the first week and a half of December is a great time to visit. Weather is usually great, (be aware that you can get a cold snap, but it’s happened once to me in the last 5 years as the weather has gotten warmer overall throughout the U.S.) and all the parks are decorated to the nines.

Those dates are perfect. We’ve gone December 14-20, 2019 and did December 13-20, 2023. The crowds are lower than when we’ve been in October or at almost any other time. All the parks and resorts are decorated. Festival of the Holidays is in full swing at Epcot.
We did 7 park days with 2 days at MK, Epcot, and DHS and one day at AK. One of the MK days was a party day so crowds were really low that day. We hit all the story tellers and the cookie stroll over the two days at Epcot too. We loved sampling the snacks at the food booths at Epcot.
Make sure you take time to see the gingerbread displays at AKL, Grand Floridian, Contemporary, Yacht Club, Beach Club, and the Boardwalk. Also make sure you see the tree at Wilderness Lodge. Those resorts also have special food and drink booths set up.
