This is what I see in MDE…

Yes, that is not a membership card. It does not tell the CM if you are a “blue card” (old language) member.

Yes. I know that part. But my point is it is what the CMs are asking to see, and if I went to the wallet, they told me not to.

It is confusing.

Yes, it is confusing because you are reporting that CMs are asking you to do something that no CM has ever asked me to do. It is very weird. I think @TwilightatDisney usually is asked to show what I am. I would love to hear form other members.

They are very inconsistent. I’ve been asked to show the wallet, the profile in MDE, or my ticket in MDE. I’ve also been waived off like “oh, I trust you. . . “. Mostly for merch or restaurant discounts. At the EP lounge, they only scan the magic band. Sometimes I start by asking what proof they want. It seems to me what would be most consistent would be pulling up my digital profile through any means, plus ID. The CM can verify your memberships so long as they can see your digital profile, then check you’re who you say you are by ID. :woman_shrugging:

@PrincipalTinker I am new to this and just added my membership card to my Apple wallet. When I open my wallet to display my card, like your photo in this post, it does not display all of the info that I see on my temporary card on the DVC website. Will the CM ask me to tap the i button to display my designations?

@poohfanclub when you go into your wallet do you see this? (Or the design you picked?)

Then hit the i (top right) to open this?

This 2nd screen is what I show.

Yes, exactly!

If you look at your membership card on the DVC website, does it include more info on the front of the card?

My temporary card on the website has my membership number and the year I bought my first contract but it does not note if I have full access to membership extras. That is why they need to see the Y in your wallet.

Does your temp card have more info?

They used to mail those cards. They were blue if you had access to the benefits.

Thanks!

Yes, my temporary card on the website has my full name, the year I joined, my membership number, DVC BY, and the expiration date of the temporary card.

Seems like it doesn’t really matter since my card in my wallet has the same info as yours has. I am not sure when or if I would ever use the temporary card.

I actually hadn’t looked at my online card since I added my card to my wallet. I am pretty sure the Y was not there when they first rolled out that you needed to have your card in your wallet. I know a lot of owners had issues with that. That most likely explains the change. Thanks for pointing that out to me!
