DCL shuttle from WDW

I’m using DCL transportation from POFQ to Port Canaveral. How do I found out where and when to meet the shuttle? Do I need to tell anyone I’m planning to walk my own bag to the shuttle?

I’m pretty sure you’ll get information about when and where to go delivered to your room. It will also have instructions about luggage. If you’re only staying one night before the cruise, you could ask at check in.

Two nights pre-cruise, actually, but I don’t see as how that would matter.

I meant that if you were only staying one night they might not have time to deliver the information to your room. I am pretty sure that when we stayed more than one night pre-cruise we got an info sheet in the room the day before telling us time and location for pickup as well as what to do with our luggage.

Have stayed at POFQ before cruise and took DCL shuttle. Wired out nicely for us. Yes, you will receive a letter in your room with the deadline time of when to have your bags outside your door. It was pretty early, like 6 am, so I do recall needing to plan out carry on vs packed the night before.

We did this exact same thing, stayed two nights before at POFQ. I had a letter delivered to my room and got an email with instructions the night before. Luggage was picked up around 7AM. We left POFQ shortly after 9AM. You’ll meet in the lobby of POFQ near the fountain. There will be someone from DCL, checking everyone in and they will confirm the number of pieces of luggage.

Is there a reason you want to take your own bag to the bus rather than having DCL take it in the morning? It was very convenient to have them pick it up from our room and have it show up outside our state room door. I kept one bag with me that had our bottles of wine and swim stuff we needed that day before our state room was ready. I sent the rest of the luggage on.

There’s a bunch of stuff I’ll need in the morning after they pick up bags that I don’t want to lug around in my carryon until we can get into our staterooms.

One time when we got to the lobby of POFQ my husband still had his backpack. The CM checking us in for the cruise shuttle said we could add that to our luggage they had already taken from the room since the luggage had not left POFQ for the port yet. You could ask them to take it then when you meet for the bus pick up.

Last year my son had taken his backpack on the bus and when we got to the port, he was able to give it to the CM when we got off the bus for them to take it to our stateroom. He had it tagged with the Disney luggage tag.
