I have several magnets to put on my DCL stateroom. I’ve never done this before & am pretty excited, but am wondering what the best way to get these there & back. If I put these in my checked bags, will they open the suitcase when they find these? Is it better or worse to put them in my carry-on bag? Would it be easier to just ship them down ahead of arrival to my WDW Resort? I’ll be going straight from the port to the airport for my return flight home, so am unsure where I could ship the box from the airport back home.

I just had mine in my carryon because I wanted to put them on the doors as soon as we arrived!
No issue.

I do not think magnets are a security flag. I would put them wherever you want.
I also carried ours onto the ship, but you could still check them for the plane.

Same. Mine were shipped in a padded envelope so I store them in that.

Mine get packed in a small carry-on small roller bag (like smaller than the standard size carry-on), with our fish extenders, whatever fish extender or pixie dust gifts we are bringing, and a swim bag tote with goggles and swim suits.
Any extra space may be used for extraneous ears or kids costumes that I want to have more carefully handled. We carry it on the plane and roll it onto the ship. And between the plane & the ship, I’ll grab a full size sunscreen from one of our checked bags and throw into the tote so we have sunscreen too right off the bat.

Thank you for that recommendation. I went out and bought a nice thick padded envelope and they all slid right in no problem. This will also keep them from getting damaged.

ORH to MCO & FLL to ORH if TSA would flag the luggage for extra screening or if they would remove them from my luggage.
