DCA Touring Plan Help

Hello, all! I’ve been trying to make a customized DCA touring plan (on the website – I don’t know if some of these problems would be fixed in the app).

I chose all the attractions we want to do. Two rides – TSMM & Soarin’ – I’d like to do twice, one standby and one with LL. However, even after optimizing and selecting that I have purchased LL and will be using it, it doesn’t list the steps to ride once via standby, the time to select the LL, and the time to actually ride it (in whatever order it deems best).

I’ll keep tinkering around, but any help would be appreciated.

On another note, is it possible to let the app optimize a plan, with a couple attractions I specifically want at a particular time (for example, shows like Disney Jr, Turtle Talk, Philharmagic, in the afternoon hours like 1-4pm).

Thank you.

It’s not going to currently give you correct LL return times. You’re better off making a list based on rides with the highest wait times from thrill data and prioritizing them for getting a LL. Use your touring plan like a checklist.

*Use BG1 instead as another option

TP doesn’t like repeat rides. My best advice is to input the rides only once. Then Optimize your plan. You should get all your rides and LLMP.

After than go back and manually input the second rides where you want them.

You can “evaluate” a plan and arrange the steps in any order you want. However, you get no say in the order if you use “Optimize”.

Most people will use optimize as a first draft to see how TP suggests going around the park. Then you can manually move things around and press “evaluate” each time going forward.

With all this being said, be aware that TP is notorious for being incorrect about LLMP availabilty. I just got back from DLR two weeks ago. I threw all my “plans” out after being in the park for half a day.

The plan is a great way to make a “checklist” to ensure you can do “at least” as much as TP suggests. You’ll have to be flexible and willing to walk all over the parks, but you can still do as much as you want.

BTW - You put this in the “universal” topic not the “Disneyland”.

You’ll get even more help if you correct. There are a lot more Disney fans here than Universal.

Good Luck!!

Thank you for the advice!

Oops, didn’t realize I put it in Universal. I could’ve sworn I clicked Disneyland. (Mods may move.)

Awesome, thanks. Do sites like Thrill Data have information about how fast LLs usually get booked? (As a comparison, I’m thinking of the table in the Unofficial WDW book that lists the average hour time slots for LLs on low/medium/busy days).

I use it only for wait times at specific times of day which you can break down into 5 min increments and I choose a day with a similar crowd level. For LL drops I use BG1 which I love. Best app ever (even my Disneyland VIP tour guide was impressed by it)

There will be several drops throughout the day at Disneyland. Keep checking constantly as all the sudden a LL will be available right now for something. It’s a giant pain but if you’re vigilant you’ll get everything by constantly checking.

Cool, I’m gonna have to check that out, thank you!

I did find the answer to the other question about how fast LLs get booked, but Thrill Data has rides running out of LLs before 7:30am, which seems off.
