The current discount promotions offered by Disney on DVC ownership expire on 7/14/2025. I am looking for opinions from people in the know. Do you think the next set of promotions will be more or less attractive than the current ones?

I am not in the know but the new promotions will probably depend on how strong sales are.

To summarize: resale prices have been either flat or dropping in the last 6 months. That indicates a soft market ripe for continued incentives - and possibly more lucrative ones.
One thing to note: if “Corporate” rental agencies end up selling off a bunch of contracts to avoid getting in trouble with the new crack-down on commercial renting, that could flood the market and cause resale prices to drop, which in turn would put pressure on Disney to increase incentives.

All this to say, my hunch is that incentives will be at least as good in the next round, possibly better. But if you like what you see, bite while you have the chance. There is no guarantee Disney will re-up them or that they’ll be as good.

I believe you have 10 calendar days to cancel your contract after purchase. If you know you are going to buy for sure, do it within 10 days of the end of the incentives. If the next ones are better, Disney will allow you to apply the new, better incentives.

There were thoughts that the current round of incentives would be better than the last, but they were the same or worse for the most part (depending on resort/number of points).
I was disappointed by this round and am hoping the next incentives are better because I’m eyeing Riviera points, but who knows. Trying not to get my hopes up too much because then I see people on Disboards saying they’re buying more BLT direct points (at $275/point!), so it’s possible Disney doesn’t need to incentivize too much.

Riviera is selling strongly so I wouldn’t anticipate a better deal.

I would think that the beginning of Reflections sales might be the next opportunity for potential bigger incentives but you’d have to gamble on the demand for it. I haven’t heard enough about transportation to really decide if people will scramble for it.

Me too. Although this is the 3rd or 4th time I’ve gone down this path. Maybe this time will be different, and we will actually pull the trigger.

Don’t feel bad. We have been talking about this for at least 5 years. We are typically a once a year family and our kids are adults now. We all still love Disney, but are wondering if it is too late. We always stay in a villa though and are currently stuck on the Riviera 
.
I have always managed to book it as a guest with the AP discount, but I fear that as the DVC contracts sell, there will be less availability to book as a guest.
