Crowd Calendar suggested improvements

I was glancing through the crowd calendar for Disneyland, and it occurred to me…a handy feature/addition could be a way to browse the entire year at a time, and see average crowd levels for each month, and then when you are looking at a given month, to show the average CLs for a given week. Right now, I’m essentially doing that effort myself by getting a “feel” for the colors on the screen for each month. But it is rather error-prone to judge how much of any give month is darker red versus lighter red or orange, etc.

So, I imagine two changes.

  1. Have a page that shows a “year at a glance” where each month provides an average CL across all the days for that given month. When I click on a month, it takes me to the existing page for that month.
  2. On the existing month page, add a column (that looks different in some way to indicate it isn’t a day of the week, but simply a summary of the week) which displays the week’s average CL.

I think this would be really helpful.

Thanks.

Do you use the row view for CL? That let’s you scroll through the many months ahead, while showing the individual park CLs for each day. That helps me get a feel for the trends toward higher or lower CL. I realize that doesn’t give you a monthly average, but monthly cutoffs (1st and last days) are so manmade.

The row view allows you to dig into the details more, but it is actually worse (to me) at seeing larger trends.
