Critique my plan! Leaving in 16 days!

With my LL draft day coming quickly, I’d love some liner insight on my developing plan.

For context, I’ve done…5 trips in the last year with my AP, a mix of family and solo-ish and adult only. I decided to renew my AP for another year (whoops) because we have an extended family trip next Jan and it would be silly not to have one AP holder for that.

Anyway, my priorities are MNSSHP (with my local friend joining me), TBA, resort time at POR, Up close with Rhinos, and GotG as I missed it last trip it’s been 7 months since my last ride. That’s just not ok.

Tuesday: MNSSHP

arrive at POR 11:30 am. Accept any preferred room that is ready by 12-12:30pm

Option 1: leave POR 1:30 pm to drive to CR for SH71 lunch at 1:50 pm, then walk to MK

Option 2: go to bus stop 3:30 pm to go to MK

MNSSHP plan in process. Priorities: parade, fireworks, castle stage show, SM, sweet corn ice cream from Auntie Gravity’s, meet Cruella and Jafar, HM. Join VQ for Tron and ride if time.

Wednesday: sleep in, resort time, EP, DtS

Before trip: LLSP for GotG ~5 pm

7 am: join VQ for GotG (if I can manage to be conscious enough at that hour)

Catch bus to EP around 3:30-4 pm

GotG x2, then whatever has a short wait

New Lion King passholder magnet?

Likely rideshare from EP to DS

Gideons on the way to Summerhouse on the Lake regular res 9:15 (use AP discount)

Finish eating ~10:15, find spot for 10:45pm DtS

Take boat back to POR if running, otherwise bus or rideshare

Thursday: AK/MK

Before trip: LLMP for MK. Pre-book TBA for ~6 pm and whatever throw away Tier 2 is available for ~1 pm

If I want to ride Tron: join VQ, then swap APR to AK

Be at bus stop by 8:30 am at latest to get bus to AK - arrive by 9:30 am at latest

Last ride on Dino, single rider EE, check in for Up Close with Rhinos by 10:45

Lunch after tour at Nomad, bar seating at Y&Y and backup reservation at Y&Y for 12:30 pm

Pool/nap break

~2 pm first tier 2 LL expires, book whatever is available that I want to ride (versus book loser, modify expired to winner? Does this currently work?)

Catch bus to MK ~4-5pm

Consider taking boat to Poly whenever I leave and getting a lime dole whip margarita at the pool bar (open until 10 pm) and rideshare back to POR

Yehaa Bob plays until 11:45pm at POR

Friday: Undecided

Rideshare to MCO by 1pm for 3:30pm flight (TSA precheck but checking a bag)

Alright, as I’ve learned more about optimizing use of LLMP I have some amendments for Thursday. I had to decide whether to pre book AK and try to grab TBA at drops, therefore allowing me to pay less and use LLMP in two parks. I’ve decided to just make my life simple this trip and save my “ultimate LLMP testing” for December.

Before trip: LLMP for MK. Pre-book TBA for ~6 pm, HM and whatever other Tier 2 I want to ride and can book for ~3 pm.

Day of: enter VQ for Tron at 7 am.

Arrive AK by 9 am. Last ride on Dino, single rider line for EE. Check in for Rhinos 10:45 am.

~4 pm when Tier 2 expires, book another Tier 2. Arrive MK by 5 pm to ride the expired Tier 2 before 5:59 pm which unlocks Tier 1 - no idea what will be available by this time. Ride TBA, book whatever is available, and so on. Enter VQ line for Tron around 9:30 pm.

Boat to the poly for dole whip is always the right answer.

A hearty meal before any party is a good idea, so I like your SH71 option.

It will happen! I’ve been wanting that Dole Whip Margarita for ages.

The only food so far at the party I’m really interested in is the popcorn bucket! Since the sweet corn ice cream isn’t party exclusive I don’t have to get it at the party. We’ll see if any of the bloggers convince me to try anything else…I feel like a lot of it has aesthetic appeal but maybe not anything special taste wise.

Is pre-booking time 7 am EST? MDE tells me my eligible date but just says 7 am without a time zone. If I’m going to alleviate the need to wake up for things during I’m willing to do it this, but I’ll be bummed if I find out I woke up an hour late.

Yes. WDW times are usually expressed in Florida’s time.

This sounds so fun! And very similar to a trip we are taking in Dec. to attend MVMCP! Excited to follow along!

This is also where we are staying, and also arriving around the same time and also asking for an early check in! I’m really hoping they have a room ready so I can take a short nap before MVMCP.

Nice! Also on my list!

Is the line shorter in the evening? It always seems like suuuuch a long line to me. But I really want to try them. But it doesn’t seem right to drive to their other location.

This sounds fun! I may have to add it to our list. There is something so fun and relaxing about taking boat rides at night.

Good idea!

True. Especially this one! SOOOO cute!!

This seems spot on to me! :grinning: Hopefully you will have loads of optimal availability since the parks have been fairly empty. We had 1pm tickets 2 weeks ago, and were able to get on everything we wanted. We didn’t really start riding until after CRT which ended at 4pm.

We did this too in July. We got the 1pm VQ, but wound up entering at 9:50pm. I didn’t ride, but my SiL said there was a hiccup, but they let them through anyway. So, I’m guessing it turned blue. But, she had no idea what I was talking about when I asked what color the tapstile was! Love her! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

It is variable! I’ve gotten called back for their VQ within 15 minutes before. I’ve also waited a full 45 minutes at rope drop. We’ll see how it goes, I want to try the key lime graham cracker cake and optimally I would eat it with the show!

Ok, well it was LL draft day this morning.

At 7 am, TBA was gone for 8/20, 8/21, 8/22, and available for evening on 8/23. I wasn’t expecting that! I backed out, booked my GotG LLSP, and went back in. Refreshed and refreshed and got a 8:30 pm return time for TBA for 8/22. I’ll try and modify it to a bit earlier if I can but I’m really hoping this lack of availability is TBA-specific. I honestly didn’t think it would be hard to get 5-6 pm for TBA on day 3 of my trip.

Oh yum!! That sounds worth the wait…Citrus cakes are so hard to get right, but I bet they nail it!

No!! Such a bummer!!

Right? Agreed! Who is taking all of your LLs??

When we went July 30th I was able to get TBA for 12:35, but I didn’t ride because DD was scared, so I stayed with her while some of her cousins rode twice. Now I’m kicking myself! haha.
They keep talking about how great the drops are, so Im sure you’ll get to ride.(And me too when I go in Dec.)

I’ve only been to one party, so I’m no expert, but this looks like a great plan! Seems you are taking advantage of all of the super fun party stuff!

Except I don’t see any trick or treating! Or were you just going to in between your other events?

It is super fast by the end of the night, and
it is soooo fun to get a huge shovel full of candy into your cute little trick or treat bag.
I’m pretty sure that was DS15 favorite part of the evening! Haha

But totally not necessary to a super fun time! Especially if you don’t like candy or something.

It’s just two adults so candy is low priority! I’ll make sure to bring something back home for my progeny.

Ack! Sorry. You had already mentioned this, it just totally slipped my brain. Back-to-school fog!

Sounds like this is going to be a really fun night!! I Love the Halloween party. Can’t wait to hear about it!!

Meh… only if you HAVE to.
