It makes sense that people without park hoppers will avoid it on an early close day. The logic will be “I paid for a full day and I want a full day” So, the people there will be those with park hoppers and families that know they’ll be done by 4:30 anyway.
Will be interesting to see what the MK numbers for today are.

The early close this week and early Feb are for events. Cast member Appreciation? Probably the only event I wouldn’t have grumpy about.

No, there was a special CM event scheduled (rescheduled due to weather).

I also wonder if people with park hoppers could close out two parks the evening that MK closes early? Seems that the get-in-line right before close would still work for a 4:30 close.
Pre-Covid this was the case at MK when MK closed early for the Halloween and Christmas parties. I would schedule our MK days on the party days because the crowds were significantly smaller than on the days with the evening parties.

We were there all last week and did not see any SA tour groups. I saw plenty of Americans with plaids (VIP tours) though.
