Pre-Delta infection doesn’t seem to provide adequate protection, so looks like they’ve dropped this exception completely from the CDC guidance:

  • People who have tested positive for COVID-19 within the past 3 months and recovered do not have to quarantine or get tested again as long as they do not develop new symptoms.

I think whole “15 minutes with a known covid exposure” is why so many people don’t think they have it and don’t get tested. “I haven’t been around anyone with covid” is a constant echo.

Exactly! We felt very safe early in May with all of the precautions (even though crowds were increasing), and Delta wasn’t even a big deal back then. Suddenly, it’s like they just decided the pandemic was completely behind us! I can’t help thinking it had something to do with the buildup for the MK 50th Anniversary celebration.
