Compare Ministry of Magic to Disney

I keep going back and forth on if I should ride the Ministry of Magic ride at Epic or skip. Can someone compare it to a Disney ride? I can do Rise and Runaway Train but not Millennium Falcon or Star Tours.

How do you feel about Tower of Terror?

This is tough because I would put it right between those 2 sets - between Rise and Smugglers (which I find less problematic than Star Tours, for reference). While the seat is very much like Tower of Terror, the motion is much tamer but it is very screen-y.

It’s a box on a stick, so it can swing round, and lurch, and rise and fall. It’s maybe Star Tours on a moving stick. It made me a little queasy in parts, but with no lasting ill-effects. I think people generally say it’s not as bad as Forbidden Journey. It may be similar to Gringott’s in part (I have in mind the scene where the trolls rock the vehicles back and forth before propelling them away).

It is technologically mind-blowing. The whole thing from the floos to the Ministry to the queue line to the ride itself feel like essential experiences for any Potter fan.

It’s an open air motion simulatior dark ride through large sets and past giant screens. The range of motion of the ride vehicles is larger than any other ride of its type, creating small free-fall moments.

What can’t you do about Smugglers and Star Tours? Is it the screens or motion?

The screens

I haven’t rode that one as an adult yet, but I would try it once

You might have some issues as there are some large screen segments.
