Club level worth it?

Looking for advice…Going for 2 night resort only stay in June
Is WL club level worth it? Or save the cash and stay at moderate?
Would be a party of 6 (essentially 4 adults since my teenage boys eat like adults, and 2 kids).

Wondering if the club level “snacks” are substantial enough to make up for meals?
WL has been a dream resort of ours, but looks like a 2 night club level stay would be about $800 more (total) than a stay at PORFQ (2 adjoining rooms).

Would love to hear club level experts weigh in!
Thanks!

The snacks are pretty “substantial”. Think of a hotel continental breakfast, but much better.

A lot of people find that they stay in the parks longer than planned then don’t take advantage of this “free” food.

IMHO - I wouldn’t pick Club level because of this amenity. Pick the hotel that works best for your stay overall. (whatever your personal criteria may be)

If that is a Club Level hotel then great!

However, all you want is food then you could buy a lot of TS / QS meals in the park for $800!

I LOVE club level, but it is hard to make it feel “worth it”. I have found there to be a lot of value in the fact that we can walk in and fill our plates with no wait or limitations. The food works easily for my family for both breakfast and dinner. We are not big drinkers, but if you have a drink or two each day, that also adds to the value. And having the ability to grab a soda, mickey bar, bag of chips, etc. during our midday breaks is also really nice.

I have always been able to rely on the CL offerings for both breakfast and dinner. WL is the only CL that I know of that has beer on tap (am I saying that right?).

I would look for specific reviews/videos of the club lounge at any resort you’re considering. I’ve read that not all club lounges are created equal!

That is true. WL is my favorite.

I’m curious if you are getting a club level suite and that is why you aren’t looking at non-club level WL rooms?

Unfortunately only club level is available for our dates of stay at WL

Ah - that makes sense. It does sound fun!

We love club level - and true, not all are the same - we always stay club level. Morning breakfast, snacks during the day - including all the ice cream bars you want - free soda, water, etc. and the nightly ‘dinner’ offerings and desserts are spectacular - well worth it for us. Our favorite is the Comtemporary (14th Floor) but the Atrium Club on the 12th Floor is terrific as well.

As someone who can always talk myself into club level being worth (usually harder to convince my budget), $800 more definitely gives me pause, but…
Start looking at how much of that is due to resort upgrade … I can talk myself into a stay at WL. If it’s a desire to stay there and you’ll take advantage of the resort, and it fits your budget, then look at the extra club cost. How much would we eat at club level compared to what you would pay out of pocket.

You’ll have opportunity to be around club food service more than if you were doing parks.
Haven’t stayed at WL club to know about their food specially, but Poly and AKL had a wide range of really good food. Evening nightcap and dessert is a plus. Also, having a quieter spot to retreat in the resort is a bonus.

Think of how much your teens can eat at an all you care to eat buffet. Do you littles “starve” then not eat anything after you purchase food?

On the other hand,
Then there is the accommodation space, 2 adjoining rooms may be a better motivator for your family.

The big difference for me at WL is that other resort there are often “small bites”. At WL, especially for dinner, there are lots of food. Also, it is the only CL I was told ,”if you want a beer at 7am, just ask. There is no judgement here”.
