City Walk security hours early morning

I will be walking from Cabana Bay to HRH probably around 630 am in order to obtain our room keys for express pass and to get in line for around 7 AM for early entry. Will I be able to walk through City Walk to get to HRH at that time? I imagine Ill need to go through security?
If not, is there an easy alternative?

That’s a 1.7 mile walk per google maps. Take an Uber? Or take the bus to CityWalk and walk or take the boat from there? Or cross the street and take the boat from sapphire falls?

I’m not too worried about the length of the walk , it will just be me and meeting the rest of the family when they can bus over to the park. But if Citywalk is not open before 7 for me to cut through, it becomes a little too long for sure. I would have to Uber in that case. Thanks!

The security booth at the end of the walkway from Cabana Bay to CityWalk doesn’t open until 7am on an 8am early entry day.

I’m curious…do all people staying in the room need to be at the check-in to get the express pass? Curious because at the end of this month I have 2 adults and 1 kid in my room at Portofino, but the kid is part of a band trip and I can’t have him with me at actual check in at Portofino, but I would like for my son to have express pass since I have enough “room” on my premier hotel reservation

Nope. I just checked in on Sunday for all the people on my room reservation, while they were still at the. airport getting luggage sorted out. They were on a different flight than I was.

Same. I called HRH to confirm as I actually have 2 rooms under my name (we are 7 people) and they confirmed I can do the checkin for both rooms on my own and meet my group at the gates.

oh man this is great news! I originally told my son I would be unable to get him express pass but now looks like I can, so he can zip through that express lane on some of those rides, at least the ones that his friends don’t want to go on, for those he will have to wait in line with them

Well after discussing with my son about adding him and one friend to our premier hotel reservation so they could have express passes for two days on the band trip, he politely refused since none of his friends would have it, and no way would he only pick one friend to have it with him. So regular standby lines they will do.
