Chosing a Premier Resort

I personally found it very pretty and not long at all. We even raced the teens once (ran it). I think it was about a 10 min walk for us maybe 15. We’re in pretty good shape though with no health/ambulatory issues and I’m not pushing strollers or carrying littles anymore so walks that used to feel longer when my kids were 6 and 3 no longer feel such.

I think it’s very nice. I had to walk it twice one morning as DS realized as soon as we got to bag check that he forgot his lanyard…that day it seemed very long. Every other day, a very pleasant walk!

We did it once and my FIL, who is no slouch when it comes to hiking and walking complained about it several times afterward. The kids nearly died from the sound of it. I wouldn’t plan to walk more than once. LOL

Yeah all the Uni paths are scenic. Here’s a video…

I’ve done it once when the boats weren’t operating due to high winds. Once was enough! It’s a hike!

However, I always recommend the HRH walking path as it leads into a butterfly garden and a couple picturesque garden areas!

Great video, definitely seems like a LONG walk. Thank you. Maybe I can book a larger room at hard rock

I’ve done the walk. I don’t mind it. I wouldn’t want to do that walk with my kids (ages 8 and 6), but before we had kids, DW and I walked to the parks multiple times from PBR. The appeal of the walk likely varies a lot per person. I would estimate the distance to be about 1 mile. Did you look online to find the distance?

I didn’t look at the distance, but did watch the video and it has me leaning Hard Rock. I think the kids (12 and 15) might like the music theme anyways, but the rooms seem much smaller

You guys are silly. Ya’ll probably walk a half marathon in the parks every day! It’s like maybe 1 mile.

Yes, I think this! Mine were 17 & 18 when I last walked this and it was easy whereas one of the reasons I didn’t like All Star Music when mine were 3 and 6 was it felt like forever to walk places. So I think a lot of it depends on the age of your kids if you have them.

good point, might be overthinking this one

At the end of a day walking a marathon when you’re all ready to be in your hotel in bed (or in the hot tub). :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

The PBH rooms feel really big – almost unnecessarily so (also depends on room type, but generally). The HRH are pretty typical sized – not especially cramped by any means. Just depends on your family and how much personal space you each need to feel comfortable.

touche (but you’re also staying in a Premier with unlimited express so you’re not backtracking all day in the parks like you would in WDW)

I do sort of agree with this but i like the space but it’s an insane “normal” room size. It feels huge for a regular hotel room.

I love HRH too. The pool is great and it’s a short walk to the parks. We are staying there this fall with the kids. But if I could save $250/night at PBR, I’d go with PBR.

That’s what Liners do. That said, you are staying Premier at UOR. I expect that you will have an amazing time whichever of the 3 you choose!

I gotta save all my steps for INSIDE the park! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:  :innocent:

Please help me viaualize the set up at Universal. There is transportation from the hotels to Citywalk and then from there everyone walks to the parks?

For RPR is it just shorter to walk to IOA from the hotel?

RPR is closer to IOA. hRH is closer to Universal Studios. Portofino is just beyond HRH. Sapphire Falls is just beyond RPR.

Boats run from RPR, HRH, Portofino and Sapphire Falls. Usually only one hotel stop per boat. Boats stop midway between IOA and US. It’s a quick walk from there.

You can also walk from Cabana Bay, but it’s a long walk.
