To add to what (almost) everyone else has said, there is so much to do at AKL if DH just wants to chill.
AKL has the biggest private collection of African art in the US, only the Smithsonian has more. And the cultural CMs are at the resort and give art tours and also to give talks on their country, life and national culture. There are also kitchen tours and numerous other activities.
