Same! I bought mine for the novelty of it. I know I didn’t need it, but the discount is what pushed me over the edge.
Well, now that the discount is removed, they could at least allow us to buy the holiday ones or have more choices; it’s always been limited. If they still come personalized that’s something

You can also routinely use discount codes, etc. on shop disney to get discounted magic bands. I got at least one magic band in the past at a rate better than what was offered by the room discount.

right now AP holders can get 20% off at shopdisney w/ code WDW20 (have to be signed in and all your stuff in order). The xmas MB I want did accept the code, usually MB are exempt.
