This doesn’t expand to be a full size tripod. It’s less than 15" long. What you see is what you get. It’s not a selfie stick. Would security ban me from bringing this into the parks?

I assume so. I have seen vloggers who bring tripods. I don’t know actual rules.

Here is the official rule:
https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/park-rules/
- Tripods or monopod stands that cannot fit inside a standard backpack or that extend over 6’ (182 cm) are not allowed in theme parks, water parks, Disney Springs, Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser or ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.

Thanks, I’ve read the official rules and believe it is okay. But I wanted some reassurance from others who have done so.
DH would be very upset with me if we lost time because security bans it!

It looks to me like it’s ok! I would just take a screenshot of the rule and show it to security when you’re coming into the parks if they give you a hard time.

This is good to know! I was just wondering about this the other day. “Someday” I’d love to take my “good” camera gear and spend a day at AK just getting pictures of the animals (and the tree of course!)
