At the 30 day mark for our trip and trying to get the best deal for an 8 day rental (and I’ve read Jack’s wonderful post full of advice). Carrentalsavers.com has the best deal by far (through Dollar) but they ask for so little info (and don’t take a CC) that it doesn’t feel legit. Anyone use them before? Yay or Nay? Thanks!
Totally legit - all they are doing is applying discount code through the industry standard interface. You don’t need a credit card number to book a rental car through any major rental agency unless you are under 25. You will get a confirmation from Carrentalsavers as well as from the rental agency itself.

The email from Carrentalsavers should have the Dollar confirmation number in it so that you can look up your reservation on Dollar’s website.
