I googled trying to find a good picture of the charcuterie board, but I couldn’t figure out which one was current. None of the portions looked overly generous. I can’t believe I waited so long for this place to open and they not only don’t seem to have formal tea, but the menu isn’t anything special. Oh well.
Maybe we can open up a Cake and Cheesecake cart on the Boardwalk, like the Corn Dog stand. You sell cake slices for $10, and I’ll do the same with Cheesecake slices (I love making cheesecakes!). That would be a bargain at Disney with The Cake Bake Shop prices. And if they want the cake a la mode, you can charge an extra $5 per scoop. ![]()
With how long it took for the corn dogs to open? I’m not holding my breath ![]()
My apologies. I know you’ve been waiting for the Cheesecake stand to open for the past 7 years, but…it has taken us that long to perfect cutting the perfect slice. I hope you understand.

We all weren’t wrong when we suggested that it was costing the cake shop millions of dollars to take so long to open. Now they’re clearly forced to charge an arm, leg and kidney to make their money back!
So you have to pay even more for the food that tastes like crap?
Seems cruel, doesn’t it?
This is the tea that we did in London! (Not a city known for being inexpensive.) About $65 for an adult and $51 for a child. I would probably expect to pay that at Disney but not substantially more.
These prices are insanity. It’s like they have to recoup the lost income from the extra year it took them to open.
I’m so over the upcharge just because I have an allergy.
Plus those are the Indiana prices – who knows what they will charge at Disney.
Tack on 30%?
We have a lot of food allergies. But I think it is justified (well, I mean not in this particular case) because the non-wheat based ingredients are way more.
Still, I understand the frustration.
I just mathed this out:
CRT: $84
Cup of soup
Filet
Dessert
Iced Tea
Cake Bake Shope: $98
Cup of Soup: $13
Steak Frittes: $58
Dessert: $18
Iced Tea: $9
Flying Fish: $98
Cup of Soup: $18
Filet: $59
Dessert: $13
Coffee: $8
To @PrincipalTinker point, these are 100% signature dining prices.
Maybe, but the profit margin on those prices are so extreme that I think it would be better business practice to not give that much of an upcharge. I know there are people who go gluten free for non-allergy reasons, but my guess is that most patrons of Cake Bake Shop just want to indulge in baked goods.
Interesting. Though I’d say FF’s $18 lobster bisque is more comparable to CBS’s bowl of gumbo, which is $24. And that $9 coffee at FF is listed under Specialty drinks; is that the only type of coffee you can get?
So they think that Cake Bake is supposed to be on par with CRT and FF (experience and food wise)?

I couldn’t find any regular drink prices for FF anywhere on the internet, so just had to go with what I could find.
I also don’t know the bowl sizes etc. for either, so was just making guesses! Looks CBS could definitely get more expensive for comparable items to FF. It has some cheaper options that have no compariaon at FF.
Pictures if the IN shop, it looks delightful. So they can charge “special experience” prices there. But an additional 30% increase because its Disney?!? We’ll see.
IKR?!?
A bake shop doesn’t feel like signature dining.
It honestly is nowhere on my list of things I’ve been looking forward to opening.
And now it’s even lower on the list
