Thanks for doing that comparison! I never looked closely after the first round of pricing.
Guys, after thinking on this a bit, you really need to consider going here. It is pretty impressive and the ambiance is great. Had a killer server named Julian who was great. Big football player from Fla so he kind of stood out. But this is some very good food on the property. We are foodies and I would definitely recommend it to be on your list. Especially if you are staying around the Boardwalk. I know it is pricey but It is also $15 for a Waffle platter at Quick Service. So, it isnāt like Disney isnāt going to get you on prices. I donāt think it is any more expensive than any other nice sit down. I mean even Ohana would be well over $200 for a family of 4. And this was pretty upscale more inline with Citricos, Topolinos, CG, etc. at least for lunch. Just saying.
Weāre booked for Saturday! Iām so excited for the Croque Madame but I will still have a hard time ordering, because I want to try all of the entrees, soupes, and apps Iām forseeing a pricey dining BWV stay in the future!
Donāt forget the salades
I canāt wait to hear what you think. I almost got it but decided on the quiche. It was delicious!
@hokiebroker_696650 did I miss if you got cake?
I donāt salade as a meal when thereās delicious non-salade!
I hate this word. It begs to be drawn out when it really should be short and quick.
So do I. Itās like āwhatās up with the soupe and salade?ā I was waiting for āsandwicheā but that didnāt happen.
Ohh, I got cake! We did the Millionaire slice. Very good. Although I wish I couldāve gotten a sampler. My eyes were too big for my stomach though. We got a crabcake app, then each got a bowl of French Onion, then we split the burger and truffle fries. By the time I ate some bread the cake was almost an afterthought. Have to go back to try more. The macarons were very good. Kind of Laduree -esque.
And the worst part is that āsandwichā is the only word of the 3 that actually gets an āeā when pluralizing it, as āsandwichesā
This is all I think of when I hear the word salade
Just thought I would add my experience last week. We had a 1:30 reservation for 2. We arrived at Boardwalk early, closer to 1:05. We decided to just check in early to see if it was possible to be seated early and the hostess was less than pleasant. She checked us in but told us we would be sat at our time - which was fine with us. We got some margaritas while we waited.
At 1:35, we still hadnāt heard anything so my niece went to check with the new hostess and she assured us that we were checked in (although we didnāt get the usual āyouāre checked inā text message). At 1:47, I went to ask how much longer. After conferring with the people inside, we were told they accidentally gave away our table to a group who was should have been sat after us. But they were working on getting us a table now. Then, when they sat us, our table had the sunlight shining straight into my nieceās eyes.
All this being said, I really was hoping to dislike the place because of how expensive it isā¦but the service inside was excellent and we really enjoyed the food and drinks. We had the truffle fries as an appetizer (we were starving by the time we sat!). She had the croque mousier and I had the ham and brie. Both were very tasty. We got a side of fingerling potatoes which were also very good.
I wanted to order the millionaireās cake to go, but it is not currently on the menu. So we decided to forgo the sweets. But we very much enjoyed the food and despite the rocky start, this will probably be somewhere we will hit up again when it is just me and my niece. And Iām hoping the millionaireās cake will be back next time we go!
