Burning DDP credits

That kind of corny humour at Hoop de Doo makes me cringe, though the food looks good and I think it’s all you can eat? And unlimited beer and sangria although I don’t drink either. The last show is 8 or 8.15 if I’m not mistaken. It’s not the easiest to actually get to.

Personally I’d go for a later and better quality dinner at Flying Fish. You’d be able to stay a bit later at UOR. No entertainment though.

All they have is Category 3 for the 8.30pm show.

It’ll be easy to get to (?) because I’ll be taking a Lyft from UOR. And I guess a Lyft afterwards back to my resort.

Lyft can’t take you to Pioneer Hall, you’ll need to take an internal bus. That’s what I meant by not easy to get to. Minnie Vans can drop you there and I think the boat dock is close.

Ah. So Lyft (from UOR) to somewhere, then somewhere to Pioneer Hall.

Yes. But I’m no expert. There was a thread a day or two ago explaining it all quite well if I can find it but it was focussed more on boats from MK or Contemporary.

I don’t know if it will be helpful.

Could you have chosen two experiences that were more opposite each other? She’s probably right on all accounts, but for fun, I’ll provide the counter-point to @missoverexcited. I like corny things, so Hoop-de-doo is right up my alley. It’s surprisingly fun. Never done Flying Fish. Sounds like you already have some fine dining experiences, why not mix it up?

I think lots of people would disagree but it’s right for me!

I also think that Cat 3 seating isn’t great.

That was my feeling. Plus HDH is a very Disney thing. I’ve been to posh restaurants before.

Though the complication of getting there is stressing me out.

Last time we were at WDW we had loads of snack credits left (we had the free dining plan) so we burnt a load in the confectionary / sweet shop on main st but I still had lots left as we waited for our airport transfer. I then used them to pay for everyone’s snacks and drinks in the queue behind me at the resort. The cast member said she hadn’t seen anyone do that in all her years at Disney but one young couple said it made their stay… it was lovely to spread a little Disney magic as I left!

It’s probably not that complicated, just factor in the time. I know you don’t mind spending money - get Lyft to a resort and a Minnie van from there, no messing with boats or internal buses.

I didn’t know lyft won’t take you to Pioneer Hall. Why not take lyft to CR or WL then take the boat. The boat launch at Ft Wilderness is just down the path from Pioneer Hall as I recall. It’s been awhile, so I could be wrong?!

or that

It’s interesting you should say that. I’m increasingly thinking that I won’t be going to Orlando in 2020 to give my finances a bit of a rest. So I feel as much as ever that I want to make the most of this trip (and the one in December).

Looking at the map, that seems pretty straightforward.

Yeah, like I mentioned, I feel like you could basically see Pioneer Hall up the path from the boat launch, but it’s probably been a decade since I did that.

I’ve had a quick look online and I think I’ll enjoy HDH. And a lot of people seem to think the Category 3 seats are better than the Category 2. So I’m happy

Can you use the dining plan for every show at HDDR?

It was definitely available for my booking.
