Brunch outside the parks

What restaurant(s) do you recommend for a Saturday brunch outside the DLR parks (in Downtown Disney, Disneyland Hotel, Pixar Place Hotel or Grand Californian)?

ETA: I’m not too interested in character meals. Food quality is the main draw. Ambiance is a close second, since this will be my last meal before my return flight. I might be dining solo, or possibly with one other person.

I think Storytellers has the best breakfast/brunch food, but it does have characters.
I’ve been to Great Maple at Pixar Place multiple times for breakfast/brunch, it’s pretty good though very carb heavy. Definitely cheaper than Storytellers, but not cheap.

Thanks! Right now I’m looking at the breakfast menus for Craftsman Bar and Tangaroa Terrace—any experience with those?

Yes, been to both. I do like the Coconut French toast at Tangaroa Terrace. You can either mobile order or just show up and order. The difference is in the plating- much prettier on a real plate than in the cardboard take out container if you mobile order. Eating outside by the pools is lovely. I prefer the DLH to the GCH, so ambiance is better for me there.
I haven’t been to breakfast at Craftsman Bar (have been to dinner), it and the QS Craftsman Grill have the same breakfast menu and use the same kitchen and I have eaten there multiple times for breakfast. The food is pretty good.

I love anything coconut!

This matters to me!

I’ll probably skip Storytellers. What do you think is the best bet of the others?

I would probably go to Tangaroa Terrace. The ambiance can’t be beat on a nice day (and they are almost all nice in So Cal in May).

I’m planning on eating at Tangaroa Terrace that early Saturday morning just for that French toast. I’m going early as I am leaving for LA that morning
