Brunch on departure day. WWYD? A.K.A. Help me decide!

FOMO is real. But also, :sob: Muppets. So I booked a Farewell Muppets weekend. Quick trip. Sunday, May 4th, we fly home but have the morning wide open for a nice Brunch. I can also fall back on Trattoria. But I’m thinking of shaking things up.

I’m down to Ohana’s, Homecoming and Boma.

We haven’t eaten at any of these places. What would you do liner friends? And WHY?

TIA :heart_hands:

Is Disney Springs off the table? WBG, Homecomin, Raglan?

No but we would want to eat at 10:30. And DH would want some sort of breakfast-y type food. I would like Homecoming. We’re staying at Dolphin and will probably ride share so we can go anywhere.

Boma, Boma, Boma.

How would you rate this against other breakfast buffets? Is the food similar or do they have a lot of unique offerings?

Raglan Road has brunch. Yummmm! Otherwise I’d pick Boma for the ambience and yummy food.

We are considering the same for our send-off day. Ohana is in the lead because my kid really wants to see Lilo and Stitch. Your other choices aren’t character meals so I’m assuming the characters aren’t your priority?

No. Although we love Stitch. If I have a buffet, I would want some variety over the standard breakfast buffet items.

For me, the food offerings felt unique- I liked trying pap and chakalaka, and pickled watermelon rind. There were plenty of the usual waffles and eggs and yogurt etc, and I saw a carving station, but I’m a vegetarian so my focus wasn’t on the meats  Compared to Ohana and Ale & Compass, there was more variety for me, personally. I haven’t done Homecomin’ so can’t speak to that. I also love Animal Kingdom Lodge and after a Boma breakfast I like walking around the grounds and seeing animals, or sitting in the amazing lobby and enjoying the art.

Thank you!

It’s always Homecomin for me

I know you love that place! And I’m slightly leaning to it. I might save Boma for a stay at AK.

Not Topolino’s?

No. I know people love it, and I should give it a try. Nothing jumps out at me from Topolinos. And we’re not specifically looking for characters. Just me and DH.

The presentation was so cute, and the view was lovely.
The breakfast steak was so good.

I second the motion for Topolinos. For us it’s an every trip must-do. The food is fantastic, the characters are adorable and the view and atmosphere are grand. We actually did a Topolino brunch on departure morning last fall and it worked out splendidly, including briefly checking our bags at bell services at Riviera.

We have eaten at the 3 options you mentioned (although not for brunch specifically at Boma) and I’d pick Topolino brunch over them all. Ohana was cute for seeing Stitch but we didn’t care for the food as much, and it was crowded and slow and expensive for what you get food-wise. Homecoming was ok but didn’t meet the sky-high expectation I had built up. And getting to DS can be a hassle depending on where you stay.

We are at Dolphin and would ride share where ever we go. Unless we end up at Trattoria.

I saw this and I immediately thought about this thread!!

Thank you! This really helped. I think I’ll save Ohana for dinner.
Next year we will be doing a resort only stay at Animal Kingdom. So I think I’ll save Boma for then.
I’ll run Topolinos by DH. But I think we would rather A&C or Trattoria over Topolinos. Just not our vibe. I’ll try for a Homecomin resi. If I can get it, I think that’s where we will go! If not I still have time to decide a plan B.
Thanks everyone so far!

Did you look at Wine Bar George brunch? Their menu changes all the time so I haven’t looked recently.
