Thanks for spelling this out. I wondered if that’s what you meant when you said:
I hope they figure things out soon and find a good balance.

We just got our first bounceback offer ever!
We checked out on 7/5/2023. I have 7 days to book. It looks like I have to call to book it, there is no link to book it online. Is this the way you always have to book these?
So, you can cancel this just like any other booking and get your deposit back?
You always had to call to book the Bounce Back. And yes if you cancel you get your deposit back.
Thank you!
So, I just tried to book a resort stay at the Riviera (1BR Villa) for March 2024 with my wonderful bounceback offer.
CM told me that Disney only allocates a certain number of rooms at each resort for the bounceback discount and if I wanted a 1BR at the Riviera for those dates (even though they fall within the eligible dates), I would have to pay full price.
He offered me another resort that I was not interested in. So, availability was not the issue. The discount was.
This is what I figured… as always, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
I will wait for other promotions to come out later this year.
That is frustrating. Is there somewhere to see what room types are excluded ahead of time or do they just tell you about it over the phone? I am a visual person so I think I would struggle with having to do that over the phone. ![]()
I am not aware of anywhere you can see that online. It probably depends on your dates and how busy they anticipate the resort to be.
For me, since we usually stay at DVC properties, they probably haven’t released all of the rooms yet for my March timeframe. It just bugs me though that the room is actually available to book… if I want to pay full price.
I should have mentioned this in my earlier post:
When I spoke with the CM, he asked me for my recent resort confirmation number. I asked him if my account was flagged or coded to indicate that I got the bounceback offer. He said no. They just check to see if you have had a recent stay and checked out of your resort within the past 7 days.
So, for anyone who is disappointed that they did not get a bounceback offer, if you are within 7 days of checking out, you could probably still call and try to get the discount!
So I’m going to try this Bounceback offer thing in a couple weeks. Can anyone offer up what kind of success they have had?
I’ll be trying for a split stay in March. Goal is CBR/Poly. March 6-14.
